HR Administrator - Mayo

Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client have a requirement for an experienced HR Administrator to join their team in Mayo. The duration of this post is initially 3 months with likely extensions thereafter.

Working 35 hours per week the successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee and will be paid an hourly rate of €19.30 per hour based on an annualised salary of €35,256. The successful candidate will accrue 28 days annual leave per year and paid Bank Holidays.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the efficient day-to-day administration of area of responsibility.
  • Provide support and guidance to staff, acting as a role model and mentor.
  • Ensure that deadlines are met, and service levels maintained.
  • Support the preparation and issuing of office documentation (correspondence, reports, etc.) to the highest possible standard to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Ensure that archives and records are accurate and readily available.
  • Maintain confidentiality of documentation, records, etc.
  • Maximise the use of technology in ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
  • Ensure line management is kept informed of issues.
  • Ensure that stakeholders are kept informed and that their views are communicated to middle management.
  • General HR office duties
  • Organise and attend meetings as required.
  • Take minutes at meetings and prepare for timely circulation following meeting.
  • Promote and maintain a customer focused environment including monitoring efficiency of service provided by the team and notifying Line Manager of any deficiencies.
  • Ensure that service users are treated with dignity and respect.
  • Act on feedback from service users/customers and report same to Line Manager

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous high-level clerical/administration experience supporting a busy department/team is required.
  • Previous experience working with SAP
  • Must have excellent IT and MS Office skills particularly in Excel and Access.
  • Must have excellent data processing and attention to detail skills.
  • Must have planning, organising and diary management skills.
  • Experience in the day-to-day operations of data in various formats.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word.
  • Experience working collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Plan and organise work effectively. Address priority issues and ensure the operation runs efficiently and effectively.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in demanding, fast-paced environments
  • Excellent customer service, organisation, and communication skills.
